Dale walks the whole house with you and lists every room, ceiling, and door. Each one is marked included or excluded, so nothing is argued about later. You end up with a written room list rather than a single lump-sum figure.
Color Decisions Before Day One
Choosing colors mid-project is the thing that stalls a house repaint. We help you settle the palette in advance, including how each room's light changes it. Samples go on the actual walls, not just a fan deck on the kitchen table.
Setting the Room Order Around Your Household
Bedrooms usually go first, so sleeping arrangements stay simple throughout. Kitchens and main living rooms are scheduled for when the family can absorb losing them. If you work from home, the office is slotted where it costs you least.
Protecting Routes, Not Only Rooms

What's the average cost to paint a 2000 square foot house?
We do not quote from floor area, because ceiling height and trim volume change the labour hugely. A house with two-story spaces and heavy trim costs well above a simple ranch of the same size. The room-by-room list is what produces an honest number.
How to find a reputable house painter?
Ask who will physically be in your house, and whether the owner is among them. Then ask for local references on homes of a similar age and layout. Confirm licensing and insurance before any deposit changes hands.
Do painters need a license in Maryland?
Maryland requires home improvement contractors to hold a license from the Maryland Home Improvement Commission. Ask for the MHIC number and proof of insurance before work begins.
Do I need to move out while you paint?
Almost nobody does, because we work one zone at a time. Bedrooms are usually painted first so sleeping arrangements stay settled. Kitchens are the only rooms that occasionally need a day of planning around.
How long does a whole-house interior repaint take?
It depends on room count, ceiling heights, and how much trim there is. We give you a room order with expected days per zone, so you can see the shape of it. Weather matters far less on interior work than on exteriors.
